Sustainable Transportation

Walking, biking, or scootering are great ways to get around campus. Bike racks are located around campus.

Loyola is committed to creating an EV-friendly campus. Since 2023, we’ve installed four, publicly available dual-port EV charging stations across campus. The EV charging stations are available to anyone to use; you do not need a Loyola parking pass. However, you must be plugged-in and actively charging or you will be given a parking citation.

EV charging stations are available:

• Campion lot ( in front of building)
• Butler lot ( by the Facilities building)
• Jenkins lot ( inside the gated area)
• Ahern ( outside the gated area closest to the library)

Loyola is working toward transitioning its 150+ vehicle fleet to all-electric. The fleet includes shuttle buses, facilities and public safety vehicles, and motorpool vehicles. Approximately 6% of our campus fleet is currently electric, and we’re continuing to make progress toward full electrification.

Loyola's campus shuttles operate across campus throughout the day and evening. You can track the shuttles and their arrival times online and on your phone. Additionally, Parking and Transportation offer special shuttles throughout the year to take students to a local grocery store, the Towson shopping center, and to Penn Station and BWI prior to the Thanksgiving and winter breaks. 

The CityLink Red (RD) bus travels along York Rd to downtown Baltimore. The closest stop to Loyola is at E Cold Spring Lane or Glenwood Ave. The MTA offers an All Access Student Transit Pass. 

The MARC train offers many lines that meet at Penn Station in downtown Baltimore. Students qualify for 50% reduced train fares.

The closest LightRail stop to Loyola's campus is at Cold Spring Lane.
