Accreditation

Loyola University Maryland School of Education is fully approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to offer undergraduate and graduate programs. This approval covers initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator programs. Graduates automatically meet academic requirements for licensure in Maryland and in other states with reciprocity agreements.

School of Education Praxis Test Scores

The Praxis, a series of tests taken by individuals planning to enter the teaching field, measures teacher candidates’ knowledge and skills. Although each State determines its own licensure requirements, Praxis results are used for licensing in Maryland and most other states as part of the licensure process. The following describes Loyola's undergraduate and graduate students’ scores on the Praxis test(s).
