Biography
Dr. Victoria Elasic first joined The Hockessin Montessori School in 2008 as an Upper Elementary Teacher and later served as Director of Admissions and Community Engagement from 2015–2025. Over the course of her career, she has worked with children across multiple age levels and supported adults through parent education programs, professional development, and teacher preparation.
Victoria currently teaches graduate courses at both Wilmington University and Loyola University Maryland’s Center for Montessori Education. Her professional focus includes Montessori teacher education, instructional design, trauma-informed practices, and creating inclusive learning environments. In 2025, she is launching her own business, Oak & River Education Ltd., a UK-based consultancy providing Montessori-aligned educational coaching and professional development.
Victoria considers the Montessori classroom the ideal learning environment and believes its inclusive nature, central to Dr. Montessori’s work for more than a century, offers a model for all educational settings.
Originally from the United States, Victoria now lives in Kent, England with her husband and two children, who have been Montessori students since toddlerhood. Experiencing Montessori both as an educator and as a parent has deepened her appreciation for this transformative approach to education, not only in each classroom but our community as a whole.
