Anna Kodé is an award-winning features reporter with The New York Times, where she covers the built environment, culture and urban life. She’s written about the urban design of “Sesame Street,” the death of the public bench and the cultural significance of steel fences. She is also an adjunct professor at New York University and the author of “Unseen Places,” a forthcoming book about observation slated to be published by Dutton in 2027. Anna is a graduate of Cornell University, and she grew up between Syracuse, New York and Hyderabad, India.
