Thank an Advisor

"Good advising may be the single most underestimated characteristic of a successful college experience." – R.J. Light

Is there an undergraduate advisor, mentor, or dean who has made a positive impact on you throughout your time at Loyola? Among the easiest, yet most rewarding things a student can do for their advisor/mentor is to say “thank you.”

If you would like to send a thank-you note to your academic advisor or mentor, please complete the form below. The more detailed the message, the more meaningful it will be for your advisor.  You can choose to send a thank-you note to multiple individuals and you can do so at any time throughout your undergraduate experience at Loyola.

Some of the more common milestones that may warrant a thank-you-note are:

  • You have just declared your major and want to thank your Messina advisor for guidance during your first semesters at Loyola.
  • You are a graduating senior and want to thank an advisor or mentor who helped you discover your interests/passions and made an impact on your success at Loyola.
  • You want to express gratitude to an advisor or mentor who went above and beyond to assist you with a concern or situation.
  • You just want to say thank you!

The Academic Advising and Support Center will print out your thank-you note on quality stationery and send it to your academic advisor or mentor, at no cost to you. Alternatively, you can stop by the Academic Advising and Support Center (Maryland Hall 138) to personalize a handwritten thank-you card.

If you would like to send your thank-you message online, please complete the form below.  If you are sending a thank-you message to more than one individual, please submit multiple forms.
