Loyola University Maryland will be closed December 23, 2022-January 2, 2023 for the Christmas holiday.
In order to process all transfer course requests in a timely manner, we ask that no requests be submitted after the December 16th deadline.
Transfer courses require the prior written permission of AASC. All courses will be reviewed, regardless of mode of delivery, including core courses.
Only 1 transfer course may be taken in any given winter. Residency Requirement applies.
The winter course should begin after your last scheduled final exam in fall and end by Loyola's Spring 2023 semester (January 17, 2023).
A grade of C or better is required of all transfer courses, including labs. Courses and labs with grades of C- or lower will not transfer.
Transfer courses must be a minimum of 3 credits (semester hours), unless the course is a lab associated with a course.
The Diversity requirement must be completed at Loyola.
Upper level major courses for the Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Finance degrees may be taken at AACSB-accredited institutions. If a student chooses to take an upper level major course at a non-AACSB-accredited institution, written permission of both the chair of the host department and the Academic Advising and Support Center are required prior to registration for the course.
An official transcript from the transfer school must be requested by you immediately upon completion of the course in order to award transfer credit. Transcripts must be sent directly from the transfer school to AASC. Do not forward a transcript you personally receive to AASC. Official electronic transcripts should be sent to Maria Schwartz at firstname.lastname@example.org. Official paper transcripts should be sent to Maria Schwartz, Academic Advising and Support Center, Maryland Hall 138, Loyola University Maryland, 4501 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21210.
Complete the form below if you intend to transfer a winter course to Loyola.
AASC will send the approval/denial notification to your Loyola email address. Requests will be processed in the order they are received. Incomplete requests will not be processed.
