Discovery

In partnership with the office of student engagement, OAE will be offering one of our longest expeditions of the year with a strong finding our individual purposes and passions! Registration for the trip will begin in March and run through mid-April. The trip itself is immediately following exams in May and before Commencement. Wellness Walk

Looking to enjoy the great outdoors? Discover the fascinating trails, captivating parks, and plenty of green space located right in Loyola's backyard! Some of the trails run through Loyola’s campus and 15 other Baltimore neighborhoods for all to explore. Read about mother nature's presence throughout the city in The Grove.

Meditation Classes

Throughout the month of April, the department of recreation and wellness will be conducting scheduled meditation classes with our certified yoga instructors on various dates and times. These classes will consist of breathing techniques for stress and anxiety, allowing the mind to settle in a natural way. Be prepared to feel rejuvenated after participating in this one hour course.

Meditation Backpacking Weekend with OAE

As exams near, take a break from the busyness of campus life and join OAE for a two-day, one-night backpacking trip with built-in opportunities to unplug from digital world and slow things down for a change! Online registration is available through our trip calendar!

EmpowerMe Yoga

EmpowerMe Yoga is a drop-in class for participants to engage in yoga to build skills that foster mind-body awareness, coping, and emotional wellness. This class will take place once a week, every Tuesday from 6pm -7pm. The class is co-sponsored by the Fitness and Aquatics Center and the Counseling Center. You do not have to be a client at the Counseling Center to participate in this class. Check out IMLeagues to register.

Counseling Center

Mindfulness Meditation is a resource platform that provides virtual drop-in meditation spaces to develop mindfulness skills, practice meditation and guided imagery. Check out the Mindfulness Meditation page for more engagement and self-guided information.

Brief individual counseling, provides a student with weekly or bi-weekly meeting with a counselor to explore emotional, social, or educational concerns. These services are available through in-person or telehealth service options. 

Real relaxation is an intentional, focused period during which one is mindful and alert, yet one's muscles are relaxed. The Counseling Center offers several relaxation resources including videos, soothing visuals, and music.

LNDL - Stressbusters

Are finals stressing you out? Come join us and relax at our Sunday brunch yoga class during finals to de-stress and medicate for a more holistic you. Dates and times of classes coming soon!
