Joanna Alexander, Program Assistantjoanna alexander

Ms. Alexander is the program assistant for academic affairs. She provides support for the coordination, planning and facilitation of key academic events and ceremonies, program reviews, and external academic affairs information. In addition, Ms. Alexander provides assistance to Ms. Fisher, director of academic events.

Michele Augustus, Program Specialistmichele augustus

Ms. Augustus is the program specialist for academic affairs. In this position Ms. Augustus provides budget planning, tracking, and analysis support to the director of budgets and operations. Duties include data compilation, tracking and analyzing budgetary data, interpreting information and assisting preparations of budget presentations in support of multi-department budgeting requirements for academic affairs. She provides support to the director to assist with special studies, reports, and presentations that require data compilation and interpretation of data. Ms. Augustus also provides general budget analytic and programmatic support to the senior administrators serving the provost and vice president of academic affairs.

Kristen Fisher, Director of Academic EventsKristen Fisher

Ms. Fisher is responsible for the coordination of academic events and ceremonies, such as Commencement and Commencement-related events, Academic Excellence Weekend, New Student Convocation, Martin Luther King, Jr., Convocation, and faculty development workshops.

Joshua Gembicki, Governance Coordinator (Secretary to the Board on Rank and Tenure)Joshua Gembicki

Mr. Gembicki provides assistance and support to governance bodies, including but not limited to the Board on Rank and Tenure, the Executive Committee of Governance, Loyola Conference, Academic Senate, Academic Affairs Committee on the Board of Trustees, and other administrative governance bodies within Academic Affairs.

David Mack, Academic Assessment and Compliance Specialistdavid mack

Mr. Mack is responsible for supporting the implementation of the university-wide academic assessment plan, overseeing academic compliance matters, and facilitating academic program proposals to the Maryland Higher Education Commission and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

April Roberts, CAP-OM, Office Managerapril roberts

Ms. Roberts is the office manager for academic affairs. She also supports the administrative needs for the provost and vice president as well as the associate vice presidents by coordinating and scheduling appointments and meetings, supporting the graduate and undergraduate portfolios, and various strategic initiatives. Ms. Roberts received her B.A. in English Literature from Salisbury University, and is certified by the IAAP as an administrative professional with a specialty in organizational management.
