Visiting Scholar

The appointment as a Loyola University Maryland Visiting Scholar is a non-paid, courtesy appointment given to persons with outstanding professional or academic credentials whom the university wishes to include within its academic community for the mutual benefit of the scholar, students, and the broader academic community. The appointment of Visiting Scholar provides an academic home and engagement with a community of active researchers.

A Visiting Scholar appointment does not involve any faculty status nor compensation. During the period of appointment, which is typically one to two years, the scholar is given access to Loyola core computer applications as well as Loyola /Notre Dame library resources.

The appointment is recommended by an Academic Dean and sponsored by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. All scholars must complete the Visiting Scholar Information Form.
