The Diversity Advisory Board amplifies undergraduate student voices on matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Student members serve as advisors, liaisons, and problem solvers who support the Office of Equity and Inclusion and the University’s mission of equity.
Diversity Advisory Board Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer and the Office of Equity and Inclusion on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues affecting students
- Works to foster an environment in which all students can achieve full potential and a strong sense of belonging
- Increases students’ awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion through support of diversity initiatives across campus
- Partners with the President’s Council on Equity and Inclusion to monitor university progress on diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
If you are deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, please consider joining this important board. Board members will be expected to attend bimonthly meetings and engage in continual self-reflection and learning opportunities on diversity, equity, and inclusion in accordance with the Jesuit educational tradition. This experience will support you in your own leadership development as you work with faculty, staff, and administrators who are leaders committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion at Loyola. Members will serve a one-year term but are eligible to re-apply the following fall semester. This board is an opportunity for you to make a significant positive difference.

All interested undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to apply (i.e. first-years through seniors, full-time and part-time). Prospective members will be interviewed and selected by the Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer and student government leaders.
