Returning & Transfer Student Move-In Schedule

Welcome Home!

The Office of Residence Life & Housing will continue with a centralized, systematic move-in designed to reduce congestion, promote social distancing, and expedite arrival for students and their families. All residential students will move in during their specified appointment selected in the RoomRez portal.

Returning Students

Returning Loyola University Maryland residents may select a move-in appointment for one of the following days:

  • Saturday, September 2
  • Sunday, September 3

Any student approved to move in early for a University commitment that requires them to be on campus will receive additional information about their move-in from the Office of Residence Life & Housing and their group coordinator.

Transfer Students

New incoming Transfer residents will move in on Saturday, September 2. Incoming Transfers have been pre-assigned a move-in time to ensure they can move-in with enough time before transfer orientation begins later on Saturday. If you need to change your move-in time you can cancel your existing and select a new appointment.

Transfer students will get separate information about move-in times and Transfer Orientation from student engagement. This information will be emailed to the student's Loyola email account. Visit the Transfer Students page for more information on the transfer student housing process, including applying for housing.

All students will check into housing at the Fitness and Aquatic Center (FAC)

At your selected move-in appointment please check into housing to receive your key at the Fitness and Aquatic Center (FAC). The FAC's address is: 4900 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD, 21210

The Fitness and Aquatic Center is located on North Charles Street approximately 1/3 mile north of the main campus. To reach the Fitness and Aquatic Center from I-695, proceed to exit 25 (Charles Street) and go south on Charles Street approximately 4.5 miles. You will see a large Loyola sign, then the building. Turn right at the next light into the Fitness and Aquatic Center driveway and follow the event parking signs.

Please note, some early arrival dates will not check-in at the FAC. Please review any move-in communications carefully.

Move-Into Loyola University RoomRez Webpage

Starting in August, residents will have access to their individual move-in webpage within the RoomRez portal. Here you will find information specific to you to assist with move-in

Check-in Pass

To provide a limited contact check-in, we will be using QR codes to check students into housing instead of swiping your Loyola ID in a card reader. You will need to either print out the QR code or use the Check-in Pass QR image in the corner of your move-in webpage.

Check-in Appointment

As a reminder, you can find your selected check-in appointment listed here. Your check-in appointment time is when you should arrive at the Fitness and Aquatic Center (FAC). Once checked in at the FAC, you will receive directions to your residence hall, where you will have one (1) hour to unload your vehicle.

Account Holds

All students must complete all move-in requirements before receiving their key. If you have any account holds that would prevent you from check-in in, they will show in a yellow alert box. If there are no holds listed, you are clear to check-in and receive your key. Please continue to monitor these holds as you prepare to move-in.

Move-in Placard

All students are required to download and print their move-in placard before arriving to campus. Move-in placards must be visible on your vehicle's dashboard while on campus during move-in. Residence Life & Housing and Public Safety will be looking for this placard as you enter the FAC and again once you arrive at your residence hall.
