Graduate Assistantship for Interfaith Program Coordinator

The GA position will be part-time position, 15hours per week for 20 weeks, beginning the third week in August and ending the third week in May. The GA will be compensated a total of $7800: Tuition remission $3,900 (50%) and Stipend $3,900 (50%). The GA may also choose a 40% stipend and 60% scholarship distribution.

Qualifications
|
- Enrolled as a graduate student at Loyola University.
- Exceptional organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability and desire for collaboration and teamwork
- Experience in program management, event planning, social media
- Familiarity with and/or willingness to learn about and promote Interfaith dialogue and cooperation, Social Justice, and Ignatian Spirituality
- Support the mission and goals of Jesuit education and the office of Campus Ministry
- Ability to self-manage and bring projects to completion
- Clear communication, ability to keep multiple stakeholders informed
- Willingness to check email regularly
- Celebration of and welcome for the diversity of views, faiths, spiritualities, race, gender, and sexual identities embodied in our community
- Willingness to learn about and work with sensitivity to identity and privilege
- Ability to engage students with diverse views and experiences
- Available for two-year commitment (upon re-evaluation at the end of the first year) preferred, although not required

Responsibilities
|
- Maintain regular office hours and a frequent presence in Campus Ministry office for 15 hours per week
- Assist in supervising and directing the undergraduate Marketing and Communication Interns working on graphic design, social
media, website maintenance and project management.
- Help manage the planning, vision and implementation of the
following:
- Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Interfaith and Ecumencial Ministries, the Program Coordinator will build collaborative partnerships with students, offices, organizations, and groups in order to advance interfaith spirituality
- Provide support to Campus Ministry's Interfaith programs. This includes the Annual Hope and Renewal Prayer Service (H.A.R.P.S.), Interfaith Week, Halal/Kosher Meal Dinner and other gatherings and events throughout the academic year
- Develop social media posts to acknowledge Interfaith Holidays and promote Interfaith Events.
- Recruit and provide oversight and guidance to the Interfaith Student Advisory Board.
- Handle all logistical responsibilities for events (e.g. managing schedules, space reservations, and ensuring adequate volunteer staffing is available for events). This may include working with student religious and spiritual life groups, advisors, campus partners, and other campus constituents.
- Creatively support the office of Campus Ministry in the development of programming related to inclusion, identity, and social justice
- Exercise independent judgment in the resolution of administrative problems
- Recruit, train and manage volunteer staff
- Other duties as assigned
