B.A. in Psychology Curriculum

M.S. in Clinical Professional Counseling Curriculum

The M.S. in Clinical Professional Counseling is a full-time 60 credit degree program. Students enrolled in the program take 12 credits in both their first fall and spring semesters; 6 credits during the summer semester; 9 credits during the fall and spring semesters of their second year; and 6 credits in each their fall and spring semester of their senior year. In addition, each student must complete 600 hours of supervised field experience.

Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology Curriculum

The Psy.D. program is a full-time program, five-year program (four for those entering with a master’s degree). Students take four/five courses per semester and devote 10 - 16 hours per week to clinical training. Classes begin the first week of September and end by the middle of May. Students are expected to fulfill some program requirements such as comprehensive examinations and dissertation preparation during the summer in addition to clinic and clinical placements. The total minimum number of field placement hours is 1410. Students who enter the program in the second year of the curriculum complete a minimum of 1260 hours.
