Our Staff

Our Student Health Center provides high-quality outpatient care in a convenient and confidential setting.  Although we are not intended to replace your primary care provider at home, our professional clinical providers and staff are committed in addressing your acute health condition to ensure optimal health and well-being while attending Loyola. 

Our office is staffed by board-certified physicians, nationally-certified nurse practitioners, a registered nurse, a medical assistant/phlebotomist and administrative assistants.

Dr. Stephanie Regenold, MD, MPH

Director

Dr. Regenold is a board-certified family physician who started at Student Health Services in 2016. She received a BA degree in History & Sociology of Science from University of Pennsylvania, MD degree from McGill University, and MPH from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to Loyola, she worked as a physician in public health at the Baltimore City Health Department, Johns Hopkins University Student Health Center, and a family medical practice office in Oregon. Dr. Regenold lives with her husband in nearby Mount Washington and has three grown children. Outside of work, she is an avid cyclist and enjoys traveling with her family.

Dr. Oscar Taube, MD

Consulting Physician

Dr. Taube is a board-certified physician, one of only 700 certified adolescent medical specialists in the US. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He is currently the director of the Adolescent Medicine department at nearby Sinai Hospital. He has also won the distinction of "Baltimore's Top Doc" in Adolescent Medicine the last 7 years!  Dr. Taube currently works part-time at Loyola with the Student Health Services staff and serves as a consulting physician for the office as well. When he's not at the office or hospital, you are likely to find him on the hunt for a good jazz club!

Marlena Waugh, MS, CRNP

Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner

Marlena is a board-certified nurse practitioner and has been with Student Health Services since 2011. She received her BSN degree from the University of Delaware and MS degree from the University of Maryland. Before coming to Loyola, she worked for several years in the hospital, mainly on medical-surgical & oncology units. She has a particular clinical interest in health education/promotion, women's health, and dermatological conditions. She lives with her husband and 2 young children in Baltimore. When she's not at work, she loves traveling, fitness (especially attempting to climb the Peloton leaderboard), and expanding her palate as a local foodie!

Eileen May, MS, CRNP

Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Eileen is a board-certified nurse practitioner and started at Student Health Services in January 2018. She is a California native and moved to Washington DC where she received both her BSN and MS degrees from Georgetown University (Go Hoyas!). Prior to coming to Loyola, she worked as a nurse practitioner at Union Memorial Hospital in Occupational Health and Goucher College in Student Health. Eileen is very passionate about promoting health and wellness with our students here. She lives in Towson with her amazing husband and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys restoring old furniture, decorating, baking and spending time with family and friends.

Dana Yeske, MS, CRNP

Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner

Dana is a board-certified nurse practitioner and joined the staff at Student Health Services in the Fall of 2019. She received a BS in Exercise Physiology from Marshall University, BSN from Johns Hopkins University, and MS from the University of Maryland. Prior to starting at Loyola, she worked as both a registered nurse and nurse practitioner at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in the oncology department. She is a member of The Baltimore Dragon Boat team and enjoys paddling, hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.

Jennifer Rourke, BSN, RN

Registered Nurse

Jennifer is a nationally-certified registered nurse who joined Loyola Student Health Services in 2015. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from Russell Safe College in NY. She also holds a degree in Communications/Journalism from State University of NY at Plattsburgh. She has almost 20 years experience working in the hospital setting, most recently at nearby GBMC hospital. She lives in Towson with her husband and two beautiful daughters. Outside the office, you may run into her shopping at the local Target or walking her dog, Reggie, around her neighborhood!

Dionysia Downs, CMA

Certified Medical Assistant

Dionysia is our Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and has been with Student Health Services since 2009. She began her medical career working in pediatrics at Union Memorial Hospital. After that, she worked as a CMA at a pediatric private practice office as well as Johns Hopkins Community Physicians working in a wide variety of clinical areas. She did take a short break from medicine to pursue law where she worked as a medical claims liason for a local law firm. She loves being a CMA and has even served as an instructor for medical assistant students since 2003!

Linda Januszkiewicz

Office/Insurance Manager

Linda has been working at Loyola University since 1989. She originally started at the Sellinger School of Business where she worked for 12 years. After that, she joined the Student Health Services team in 2001 as the Office & Insurance Manager. Linda has always been passionate about working in the healthcare sector. Prior to coming to Loyola, she worked for University of Maryland Medical Systems, Washington Village Community Medical Center and Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and playing with her labrador retriever Charlie.

Nicole Ryan

Administrative Assistant

Nicole is one of our Administrative Assistants and started working at our office in March 2016. Prior to joining our team, she worked as a Certified Medical Assistant at the University of Maryland Medical Center in their orthopedic department. She is one of the first faces you see when coming to the Student Health Services office and really enjoys working with our students! Most of her free time outside the office is spent keeping her young daughter busy with crafts & projects, working out, or going to the movies.
