Courses are offered in varies formats to fit the schedules of busy educators.

These courses are offered in a synchronous format. Classes occur on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30pm

EDCT602.W01- Deep Dive Into National Board Certification (2 credits)
Dates: July 13- August 20, 2026 | Cost: $700 | Application Deadline: July 1, 2026

Fall 2026:
EDCT603.W01-Pathway to Completion of Component 2: Differentiated Instruction (3 credits)
Dates: August 31- October 23, 2026  | Cost: $1,050 | Application Deadline: August 21, 2026

EDCT605.W01-Pathway to Completion of Component 4: The Effective and Reflective Practitioner (3 credits)
Dates: October 26- December 18, 2026 | Cost: $1,050 | Application Deadline: October 1, 2026

For School Counselors National Board Certification

EDGC830: Preparing for School Counselor NBCT (1 Grad Credit)

This 1-credit course provides instruction, mentoring, and coaching for educators pursuing National Board for Professional Teaching Certification, with a dedicated track for professional school counselors. As the first in a three-course scaffolded sequence, it introduces candidates to the standards, key vocabulary, and core components of the certification process.

Fall 2026: Dates: September 14-November 12, 2026 | Cost: $450| Registration: July 13- September 1, 2026.  New Applications must be received by September 1

Coaching for Counselors


This 2-credit course, delivered online asynchronously, provides 30 hours of learning on the topic of coaching. It is designed around four specific areas aligned with the Board-
Certified Coach credential, including Ethic and Regulatory Guidelines, coaching knowledge, and Applications, Assessment, and Practice management.

 This course is offered in an asynchronous format

Fall 2026: EDGC826.W01 - Dates: September 14-December 17, 2026 | Cost: $800 | Registration: July 13- September 1, 2026.  New Applications must be received by September 1

Must have LGPC to enroll Clinical Supervision

Students seeking supervision hours toward a LCPC may participate in this group supervision experience. Students are expected to be working with clients, and to bring cases to the supervision class for supervision, discussion, and problem solving. Students will utilize the required forms for supervision as outlined in state requirements for supervision experience. The focus of this supervision experience as case conceptualization and the development of treatment plans. A final written evaluation will be provided to each student to maintain in their records as required to document supervision. Student must complete the three courses to have the required clinical supervision hours. Each course is 1 graduate credit.  This is a three course sequence. Participants will also enroll in EDGC841- Clinical Supervision II and EDGC842- Clinical Supervision III. 

Participants must have Maryland LGPC to enroll. 

This course is offered in a synchronous format. This course is only offered in the fall and spring semesters.

Just in Time: Supervision

EDGC846 - Just in Time: Supervision of School Counselors I : Case Studies and Themes in Supervision 

This 7-week, synchronous online course that provides instructional strategies for supervising school counselors. This professional development course integrates theory-based instruction with practical application to support school counselors in providing effective supervision. This course is designed for practicing counselors and school counselors who are working with clinical students and providing supervision. The focus is on practical issues that arise in supervision. 

Dates: Tuesdays 7:00-8:30pm September 8- November 18, 2026| Cost: $450| Application Deadline: September 1, 2026

New continuing education students should complete the Continuing Education Application to apply for the program. Please visit our Admissions website for more information, and be sure to submit all required supporting documents to graduate@loyola.edu
 along with your application by the posted deadline.

Returning or currently enrolled Continuing Education students may register for courses without submitting a new application. This does not apply to students in our degree seeking program.
