School of Education Leadership Conference photo montageLoyola University Maryland's School of Education offers courses for teachers and education professionals seeking graduate-level courses for professional development or to maintain licensure requirements. Courses are offered in varies formats to fit the schedules of busy educators.

Spring 2026 Offerings 

This course was developed to help teachers navigate Component 3 of the National Board Certification portfolio. By systematically working their way through the entry directions and component guide, students will collaborate, discuss, and develop their lessons and artifacts needed to complete the entry for upload.


EDCT604: Pathway to Completion of Component 3: Demonstrating Content Knowledge in the Classroom (3 Graduate Credits)This course is offered in a synchronous format. 
Dates: January 12-March 6, 2026 | Cost: $1,050 | Application Deadline: January 5, 2026

In this 2-credit course participants examine how and why students get “stuck” in their ruminating thoughts and/or behaviors that hinder their academic success or ability to connect with others. Drawing from a personalized theoretical approach to counseling, participants engage in thoughtful examination of the issues that keep a person “stuck” and create an intervention that is evidence based and delivered within a creative approach. This course is offered in an asynchronous and synchronous format.

EDGC824.W01- Dates:  1/7, 1/14, 1/28, 2/4, 2/28 - Synchronous  5:30-7:00pm| 1/21, 2/11- Asynchronous| Cost: $650 |Application Deadline: December 29, 2025

This 2-credit course, delivered online asynchronously, provides 30 hours of learning on the topic of coaching. It is designed around four specific areas aligned with the Board-
Certified Coach credential, including Ethic and Regulatory Guidelines, coaching knowledge, and Applications, Assessment, and Practice management. This course is offered in an asynchronous format. 

EDGC826.W01 - Dates: January 26- April 13, 2026 | Cost: $800 | Application  Deadline: January 19, 2026

Students seeking supervision hours toward a LCPC may participate in this group supervision experience. Students are expected to be working with clients, and to bring cases to the supervision class for supervision, discussion, and problem solving. Students will utilize the required forms for supervision as outlined in state requirements for supervision experience. The focus of this supervision experience as case conceptualization and the development of treatment plans. A final written evaluation will be provided to each student to maintain in their records as required to document supervision. Student must complete the three courses to have the required clinical supervision hours. Each course is 1 graduate credit.  This is a three course sequence. Participants will also enroll in EDGC841- Clinical Supervision II and EDGC842- Clinical Supervision III. 

Participants must have Maryland LGPC to enroll. 

This course is offered in a synchronous format.

New continuing education students should complete the Continuing Education Application to apply for the program. Please visit our Admissions website for more information, and be sure to submit all required supporting documents to graduate@loyola.edu
 along with your application by the posted deadline.

Returning or currently enrolled Continuing Education students may register for courses without submitting a new application. This does not apply to students in our degree seeking program.
