Sherrie Rovnan joined the Y in Central Maryland in 2008 as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, she provided leadership to the Y’s finance, accounting and technology functions. After serving a brief period in 2014 as Acting Chief Operating Officer, where she oversaw all day-to-day operations for the Y in Central Maryland, Sherrie returned to her roots in 2015 in her current expanded role as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the Y.
Sherrie served in senior-level finance roles for several dynamic organizations for
the past 20 years. She is was most recently the Senior Vice President of Corporate
Finance for Erickson Retirement Communities, one of the nation’s largest and fastest
growing retirement living community developers. Previously, Sherrie was the Controller
for a division of Clark Construction, a $2 billion national construction company.
Sherrie has a BS degree in accounting from the University of Maryland. Sherrie is
an active community volunteer and teen service leader. She lives in Howard County
with her family.
