Online Scheduling

Beginning on November 28, 2022, all initial appointments will be Let’s Talk sessions for the remainder of the Fall semester given the limited time remaining to engage in counseling services. Online scheduling will not be available over the winter break. Online scheduling and initial assessment appointments will resume at the start of the Spring semester. Students with questions about services or needing scheduling assistance, should call the Counseling Center at 410-617-2273 M-F 8:30-5pm. As a reminder the Counseling Center follows the University schedule and will be closed when the University is closed. 24/7 crisis support remains available at 410-617-5530. View the Emergency Support page for additional information.

Support starts here! The Counseling Center offers many options for students seeking support beyond individual counseling. Explore resources and services that you can access today to begin your wellness journey. All Loyola undergraduate and graduate students can access free online mental health support with Togetherall, any time, any day.

Online scheduling is available for currently enrolled Loyola students, residing in Maryland, for the following appointment types:

Intake:
first-time appointment for assessment and recommendations, which may include group counseling, workshops, brief individual counseling, and/or comprehensive referral support.

Let’s Talk: one-time, solution-focused appointment with a counselor to address a specific concern.

You may choose to schedule either appointment as an in-person session in the Counseling Center, Humanities 150, or as a telehealth session via Zoom. All other appointments are scheduled by calling the Counseling Center at 410-617-2273. View our Services webpage to learn more about the full range of options offered at the Counseling Center.

NOTE: Please be aware that when you schedule an initial appointment that this time is reserved for you and no longer available for another student. If you are no longer able to attend your appointment, we kindly request that you call Counseling Center at 410-617-2273 at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows the appointment time to become available for another student who is seeking services.

Currently, all in-person sessions require the use of N-95 or KN-95 face masks at all times. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have been recently exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or have tested positive for COVID-19 at the time of your in-person appointment, please call the Counseling Center prior to your appointment to discuss options for rescheduling or telehealth sessions.

You will receive an email from the Counseling Center prior to your appointment with instructions to complete brief introductory forms, and a Zoom link for telehealth sessions. Forms are to be completed prior to the start of your appointment.

Online scheduling is not intended for emergency or crisis concerns. If you are in crisis or need immediate support, call the Counseling Center during business hours, M-F 8:30-5. After-hours and weekends, call the After-Hours Crisis Line at 410-617-5530 or 911. You always get a live counselor, every single time after hours at 410-617-5530. But if the call volume is high that means you might wait a few minutes for the next available counselor. Don’t hang up, your call is important and will be answered.

If you need assistance with scheduling, please call the Counseling Center at 410-617-2273.
