If you have a scheduled appointment with the Counseling Center during a University closure, please expect communication via email or phone (410-617-2273) to help you reschedule your appointment once the University is open.

For the remainder of the Spring 2026 semester, all non-emergency, initial appointments will be Let’s Talk sessions given the limited time remaining to engage in counseling services. Online scheduling and support groups will not be available over summer break. Both will resume at the start of the Fall 2026 semester.

Summer 2026 Services

The Counseling Center remains open for services during the summer break (May 8 – August 28, 2026). Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:30AM-5:00PM (EST) and Fridays 8:30-12:00PM (EST). If the University is closed for holidays or inclement weather, the Counseling Center will also be closed.

Available services for all students:

  • Consultation with students, parents, and campus partners
  • Comprehensive referral support
  • 24/7 Crisis Line: 410-617-5530

NOTE: You always get a live counselor, every single time after hours at 410-617-5530. But if the call volume is high that means you might wait a few minutes for the next available counselor. Don’t hang up, your call is important and will be answered.

For students residing in Maryland and enrolled in Loyola summer courses:

  • Let’s Talk, solution-focused, goal-oriented, one-time space for students to meet with a counselor around a specific concern or problem
  • Assessment and recommendations
  • Short-term individual therapy

Please note that due to state licensing laws, students must be residing in Maryland and enrolled in Loyola summer courses to be eligible for Let’s Talk, assessment, and therapy services during the summer. Students seeking treatment over the summer but not enrolled in summer courses at Loyola and/or not residing in Maryland, are encouraged to contact the Counseling Center to discuss their counseling needs. All Loyola students are eligible for consultation and referral assistance. The Counseling Center remains committed to supporting the emotional well-being of our students.

Incoming first-year students, transfer students, and/or their families, are also encouraged to contact the Counseling Center to consult about treatment options for the 2026-2027 academic year, if needed.

For questions, consultation, or to schedule an appointment, please call 410-617-2273. Online scheduling is not available during the summer months.

The Counseling Center follows the University academic schedule and will be closed when the University is closed.
