Please review all information below before scheduling an appointment.
Online scheduling is available for currently enrolled Loyola students, residing in Maryland, for the following appointment types:
Intake: first-time appointment for assessment and recommendations, which may include group counseling, workshops, brief individual counseling, and/or comprehensive referral support.
Let’s Talk: one-time, solution-focused appointment with a counselor to address a specific concern.
You may choose to schedule an in person appointment in the Counseling Center, Humanities 150, or as a telehealth session via Zoom. All other appointments are scheduled by calling the Counseling Center at 410-617-2273. Counseling appointments may only be scheduled by the student who will be attending the appointment. Please schedule only one appointment to avoid delays in confirmation and to allow other students access to available slots.
Family members, campus partners, and peers may not schedule appointments on behalf
of someone else, however they may offer support in helping a student connect with
services. Consultation services are offered for family members, campus partners, and
peers to discuss concerns about a student with a counselor. For consultation services,
please call 410-617-2273 during our office hours Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5pm.
Additional resources for family members and campus partners are listed below.
The clinical services of the Counseling Center are intended for LUM undergraduate
and graduate students and are not available to LUM employees. Employees may contact
Office of People and Culture or the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for resources and assistance.
NOTE: Your appointment time is reserved and no longer available. If you cannot attend,
please call 410-617-2273 at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule. This
allows another student in need of services access to your canceled time.
If you are ill or have recently been exposed to someone with a transmissible respiratory
illness, please call 410-617-2273 prior to your appointment to discuss options for
rescheduling or telehealth sessions via Zoom.
Prior to your appointment you will receive an email with instructions to complete
brief forms, and a Zoom link (if applicable) for a telehealth session. Forms should
be completed prior to the start of your appointment and will be read by your clinician
within 15 minutes of your appointment.
Online scheduling is not intended for crisis concerns. If you are in crisis needing
immediate support, call the Counseling Center, at 410-617-2273 M-F 8:30am-5pm (EST).
After-hours and weekends, call the 24/7 After-Hours Crisis Line at 410-617-5530 or
911. You will always speak with a counselor, every single time after hours. But if
the call volume is high that means you might wait a few minutes for the next available
counselor. Don’t hang up, your call is important and will be answered.
The Counseling Center follows the University academic schedule and will be closed when the University is closed. If assistance is needed with scheduling an appointment, stop by our office Humanities 150 or give us a call at 410-617-2273.
