Spring 2024 Pop-Up Class Series
This semester's pop-up classes will take place virtually and in-person, promising a wide variety of new skills and knowledge! The following pop-up classes are open to the Loyola and Notre Dame communities. If you have any questions, ideas for potential pop-up classes, or would like to teach a future class, contact Clara Love at cmlove@loyola.edu.

The Art of Making Bread
Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 4-5 pm
In Person at Loyola Donnelly Science Center, Room DS 253
Instructor: Andrew Schoeffield
Good bread warms both the heart and the soul. This beginners’ class shows you just how easy it is to make your own bread. It also explores why it is probably a good idea to make our own bread, rather than purchasing the bread-like products available at the store. This class is capped at 12 participants and will be held in Loyola's Donnelly Science Building. Led by Andrew Schoeffield.

Laser Cut Valentine's Day Jewelry

Learn how to create jewelry designs in Adobe Illustrator, then learn how to cut and engrave it with the laser cutter at this demo! We'll be making Valentine's Day themed jewelry examples.

Designing a Portable Gaming System with Arduino

Instructor: David Hoe and Loyola's IEEE Club
Learn how to interface a color LCD panel to an Arduino microcontroller and write the code to create fun graphics. Participants will also be able to add switches for controls to complete the basics for a portable electronic game system. No prior experience required.
