International Business Major and Minor
In our ever-changing and increasingly interconnected business world, successful leaders
need to go beyond “business as usual” and understand how the pieces of the global
puzzle fit together. As an international business major in Loyola’s Sellinger School
of Business and Management, you’ll develop the global perspective needed to stay competitive
and take the lead in an array of careers—from government relations and global operations
to marketing and business development.
At Loyola, our AACSB-accredited international business program examines organizational
phenomenon from a multi-disciplinary perspective, helping you hone skills within the
international dimensions of accounting, finance, law, operations, information systems,
management, marketing, sustainability, and corporate strategy.
Our experiential curriculum lets you see your studies in action through internships,
service-learning, study tours and more—giving you hands-on, practical experience working
in today’s global business environment. Based in Baltimore—home to leading global
businesses including Under Armour, McCormick & Co., and Stanley Black & Decker—Loyola’s
international business program provides access to industry leaders that are locally
based and globally-minded.

Cross-Cultural Exchanges

Gain new insights and strategies for dealing with cross-cultural complexity that affects individual and team effectiveness in the workplace. The course also enables students to maximize their study abroad/international experiences by way of theory and practice, sharing and collaborating with one another, and learning from one another’s methods, assumptions, values, knowledge, and points of view.
International Management
IB 415
Investigate business policy, strategy, structure, and process in an international context. In this course you’ll develop an understanding of the complex and varied role of the general manager in a nondomestic environment.
