The Sellinger School of Business is offering two immersive undergraduate study tours designed to deliver hands-on, experiential learning beyond the classroom. Students can choose an international study tour to China, exploring global business and finance in Beijing and Shanghai, or a domestic study tour to Walt Disney World Resort, a world-renowned leader in Customer Experience Management (CXM).

These faculty-led study abroad and domestic travel programs combine academic coursework with site visits, executive insights, and real-world business applications. Whether you’re interested in international accounting, global finance, and foreign exchange markets, or customer experience strategy, service innovation, and brand management, these undergraduate business study tours provide career-relevant skills and global perspective.

Through experiential education, professional networking, and applied learning, students gain a competitive edge in today’s global marketplace—all while earning academic credit.

Experience global finance and international business firsthand through an immersive 10-day China study tour in Beijing and Shanghai. Designed for students interested in international accounting, foreign exchange markets, and global risk management, this program provides direct exposure to multinational corporations operating in one of the world’s most influential economies.

Through company site visits and executive briefings, students explore real-world applications of foreign currency transactions, exchange rate risk, currency hedging strategies, and financial accounting for derivatives. This international business study tour bridges classroom theory with hands-on global learning, equipping students with in-demand skills in global finance, international accounting, and multinational business strategy.

MK349 - Customer Experience Management: The Disney Study Tour (Orlando, FL)

See customer experience strategy in action at Walt Disney World Resort, one of the world’s most studied organizations for service excellence. This spring break Customer Experience Management (CXM) study tour gives students behind-the-scenes exposure to how a global brand intentionally designs, delivers, and manages every touchpoint of the guest journey.

Six on-campus sessions introduce core CXM concepts, including customer journey mapping, service recovery, and brand loyalty. In Orlando, students observe how operational decisions, employee training, and environment design work together to consistently exceed customer expectations at scale.

Registration Form 

Students interested in participating in one of these study tours must complete the following 3 steps:

  1. Obtain clearance to travel from the Dean's office.
    You must complete the online approval form for international travel clearance and to indicate your study tour choice preference. A request for clearance must be submitted by the following dates:
  2. Make the first nonrefundable payment of 50% of the trip price.
    Once you are cleared to travel, an e-mail will be sent to you with instructions for making your first payment. Your spot in a study tour is not reserved until this first payment is complete. First payment deadlines are:
    • China: October 1
    • Disney: Submitted within a few weeks of receiving travel clearance.
  3. Make final payment. 
    • China: Payment is due November 1
    • Disney: Payment is due in the early fall
