Financial Resources for Veterans
Undergraduate Students
At the undergraduate level, we sponsor an excellent program of institutionally-funded academic scholarships, need-based grants, and athletic grants, in addition to our participation in the major federal and state student aid programs. Parents may also consider additional financing alternatives through the Federal Parent Loan Program (PLUS) and the TMS monthly payment plan. Learn more about undergraduate financial aid.
Graduate Students
The office of financial aid administers several types of financial assistance for graduate students. Loan assistance is available through the federal government and private lenders. Assistantships are available through several academic and administrative departments. Additionally, individual departments offer a limited number of fellowships, scholarships, and grants to assist students with their education expenses. Learn more about graduate financial aid.

However, students can still use their work study opportunities at other VA facilities. For more information, visit the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) website. Veterans and Reservists enrolled 3/4 time or more and training under Chapters 30, 31, 33, 35, and 1606 and Section 903 may be eligible for employment on a part-time basis. (Note: Loyola does not participate in VEAP, Chapter 32.) The DVA will pay an allowance equal to the prevailing federal or state minimum wage, whichever is higher. The Veterans Services Office has a limited number of positions that are periodically available. For more information, visit the VBA website.
