Facilities

AKI classes are held in the newly renovated fine arts building on the beautiful Evergreen campus of Loyola University Maryland, located in a residential neighborhood in north Baltimore.

In addition to the new classrooms, AKI participants will enjoy using the recital hall, McManus Theater, a state-of the-art computer lab complete with electric pianos and the Finale music writing program, and will have access to practice rooms with new pianos.

Housing is available in McAuley Hall, within easy walking distance of Loyola's fine arts building. AKI students have access to the Loyola (lunch only) cafeteria.

Visiting Baltimore

Loyola's campus, in an attractive residential area of suburban Baltimore, is a short drive from Baltimore City's Inner Harbor, home to the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, historic tall ships, and a waterside pavilion of shops and restaurants. Also nearby are Fort McHenry, the Edgar Allen Poe House, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Walters Art Gallery, the Babe Ruth Museum, the B&O Railroad Museum, and the American Visionary Arts Museum. Theatre and musical entertainment are just minutes away at the Mechanic Theatre, the Hippodrome Theatre, Center Stage, the Lyric Opera House, and Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Directions and Maps to Loyola

Loyola University Maryland is located at the corner of Cold Spring Lane and North Charles Street in Baltimore City. When using I-695 (the Baltimore Beltway), take Exit 25 (Charles Street). Proceed south on Charles Street, just north of the Cold Spring Lane intersection.
